Retreat is not defeat!...........A poem for weekly contest.
' Let me take a step back.........and then a giant leap!'
Outside, lies an unethical world,
of fear and distrust;
engaged in strange illusions,
materialistic thoughts and lust.
In search of love , I had known,
reached here ,for a name , I own.
Present,uncertain and moving fast,
with a future trapped in the past.
Within me,lie an untouched dream,
trying to find a place.
A thought ,craving to bloom ,
in this never ending race.
Let me close those petals ,
in this dark moonless night,
unwind my agony, and then fight.
Fight I will, to win,
but for now, let me succeed from within!
