Don't help me........but, please don't pity me!

Mother, please don't weep,
I know you have millions to feed,
let your wealthy children survive,
rejoice and live.
One stomach can wait,
One tear can halt!
My throat is dry ,without water.
Hunger ,chewing me every bit.
Eyes slowly closing down,
limbs burning in this heat.
Yet, I bow my head with pride,
with no guilt ,of hurting anyone,
no shame, of selfishnes,
no fear of death ,which awaits!
Let me embrace death , with courage,
free myself ,from this painful cage.
Let me spit on the face ,of greed and desire.
Let me be the prey for that vulture's delight,
and surrender myself to fight,
fight this 'chakravyuh'.
Life , you know, is a kurukhshetra,
and, I am 'Abhimanyu'!
Mother , do not weep,
the giver of air, wind , sky and sunshine,
with no barrier , border or wall ,
please don't weep,
so what ?, among your other greedy children,
you could never , hear my call!
One soul,will leave,
one hope, will survive!
Please note:
* chakravyuh - a strategy used in the great Mahabharatha war .
* Abhimanyu- a young warrior who was assigned the duty of crushing the chakravyuh.

The child here understands hunger , but helpless as Abhimanyu learning to fight the situation........that is what I see in the picture.

Well done...written with intense feeling......
Poor Abhimanyu knew only how to break into the chakravyuham and did not have the knowledge to fight his way out.......but went in all the same to become a martyr for the cause

That was self sacrifice but this starvation is a senseless slaughter of innocents....hell exists right here on our planet.....
