A crazy mughal emperor,
with his might and terror,
made a symbol of love,
in memory of his beloved.
Artisans made it with novelty,
but, could not escape his cruelty,
he wanted , none to remake it,
so their life , he would take it.
Engineers from all part of the country,
made this monument ,a beautiful poetry,
which survived with time and history!
When he approached his age,
jailed by his son,
last years of his life ,
was spent in a nearby prison.
He died with his eyes open,
with the glimpse of this lovely construction,
such was his flame of love ,madness,
and fire of passion.
His love stood tall with every passing time span,
He was none other than Shahjahan.
Monument he named it 'Taj',
for his beloved was Mumtaz!
Unlike flowers, love needs no season ,
to bloom and blossom.
unlike hate, love needs no reason,
to nurture in the bosom.
Like a bird flying high in the sky,
yet on earth ,it prefer to die,
love intoxicates and crosses all limits,
yet, at one sight of beloved it submits!
Even after hundreds of years,
eyes filled with tears,
lovers flock,
with their hands locked,
to see this wonder,
admiring it's beauty,
to love ,they surrender!
Taj Mahal in a shabby town,
a diamond in an old rusted crown,
with it's everlasting shine,
reminds us of our valentine.
Each tile and stone,
speak a hundred stories,
sing a million song,
of , how love captures death ,
when memories last long!
