commitment - an untold prayer!
The first sight ,
when I pledged my eyes
as we crossed each other,
and the reasons I found to meet you
everytime.
The promises, I made to you
as we walked together,
witnessed by the trees,birds and the sea
The silent prayers in which I found you,
next to god
in my world of dreams and passion.
The heart felt responsibilty to care,
share, compromise and communicate,
in your problems and worries.
An oath, I took to share a lifetime
closing the back doors,
never to withdraw my footsteps
as I walked with you on the shore of time,
from dusk to dawn and dawn to dusk,
you know , what I did ?
Knowingly or unknowingly
willingly or unwillingly,
I committed!
A relation which the right hesitates
to let down,
wrong fears to accept.
A log of wood on which we
cross the ocean of life.
A path which good fears to travel
bad could never follow
A women who sacrifices her freedom
into the flame of motherhood
A slavery for a cheater
yet a security for a lover.
An uniform of bravery
to survive in extreme conditions.
A cage in which, a bird of freedom
prefers to die again and again.
That's commitment!
When courage and truth
walk holding hands
when trust and loyalty
is tested on the field of patience
when for some its walking on rope,
yet for others its the only hope.
when god turns deaf to prayers,
but couldn't ignore the sincere efforts.
A word small to spell
yet ,big to classify a man from a beast.
A word you can live with
A word you can die for.
That's commitment!
