"The tree of success"

I personally believe that merit is the only thing that matters as one, who knows to lead,
will always have crowd following him or her, that itself improves the networking strategy.
If you have it in you, only then you can give it to others.
The most interesting pages of great lives ,speaks of people who were alone initially when they walked, but later there were millions to follow them ,for instance M.K .Gandhi, Einstein or Dhirubhai Ambani .
Networking is a talent developed but as we know genius are born with the qualities.
With contacts in Bollywood or Hollywood you can be acting in one or two movies
But, to sustain the stardom your merit counts, otherwise children of superstars would have been a greater actors than the known film stars of yesteryears which certainly is not the case!
Shivaji Maharaj with his intelligence, calibre and ability built the mighty Maratha kingdom but his son ,Sambhaji raje could not sustain it though his network was much stronger ( as far as my knowledge and understanding goes).
Jawaharlal Nehru handed over the democratic India to his daughter Indira Gandhi,
She with her ability and effort ruled this nation and handled the supreme power with
Dignity from 1971 to 1984 (excluding the emergency and political ups and downs)
Being a woman, and yet emerged as the one who could lead us for 16 years!
After that we had a series of coalition government prime ministers changed with every season confusing my 10 year old daughter about names of prime ministers we had to remember ! ( hope I have not lost the track of the debate)
There are millions of examples and cases but I restrict myself with two.
Networking can improve your chances of opportunities ,and I agree that , ability without
support from others will be in the heap of garbages, Yet, it is your merit that
help you to improve it!
Finally
“Networking is the branches of the tree called success, but roots are the merit of the person
Which, has to be strong ,firm and unshakeable with time!”
Let me remind you the very common natural theory that the roots develop first
and faster than the branches initially, and later the branches give shade to the root!
Hey it’s quoted by me !

Dear rajje,
merit ivolves everything , character ,credibility,commtiment.............all successful men are not good and all good men are not succesful...............therfore success is a relative term................a journey or destination, quantity and quality, is all relative and in the end "each one their own " is the motto of defining success.
but merit will always be counted in the supreme court of ones conscience!!!!!!

A keen observation, candidly exemplified, Ajit.
However, I would like to add that children can outdo their
great parents only if they are brought up strictly to do so.
Otherwise, their back-ground tends to make to perform lesser
and makes most ,lazy.Hard-work and perseverance also matter, although one may
possess a good family back-ground for success.
