There is no distinction of class, creed, gender and species! I can have a dog as a friend and still share everything and learn from it. But, after all it’s a relation, which has to stand the testimony of time age and space. A relation that does not require your approval, a relation that is tested by situations and   very often do not fail .A relation in which one has to nurture, care and share and devote time. I do agree that all relation has to undergo the above-mentioned test of the ups and downs of   life but friendship is different because a friend is a neutral person since the person may or may not be a brother, a father, a mother, son or your sister.

He is the judge to your deeds, mirror to your conscious, and storehouse of your innermost and wildest fears and thoughts. One who has read the Mahabharatha can know the real friend ship of Lord Krishna and Sudhama,

Karna and Duryodhana.

He is as close to you as your neighbor and still a stranger. I will not be wrong if I say friendship is a relation with self and god. Like god, friend is a stranger and still dwells in your heart. What I just said might be an ideal relationship of friends. It’s a relationship where the giver gives at his will and still the receiver is termed selfish.

Till now, I had been discussing idealism of friendship now a wrong side of this right relation is what comes to me. Many in this world is cheated by this word, many fall prey to “false friends’. How can there be true friend and false friend? A friend is a friend so there can never be such a term true or false attached to it. One who is not true to self cannot be true to others and hence he cannot be friend.
